Friday night drinks just got a little bit cheekier with one Nottingham bar enlisting the help of some scantily-clad waiters.

The Bear and Lace, in Maid Marian Way, will be hosting a Butlers in the Buff evening on Friday, March 31 – but sorry lads, it’s ladies only.

The not quite naked chaps (they will be wearing a bow tie and apron to spare too many blushes) will be serving prosecco and cocktails until from 8pm to 11pm on the venue’s first-floor bar.

Places must be booked in advance with a £5 deposit required to reserve each place (but you’ll get that off your bill at the end of the night).

A special menu has been devised for the evening with diners able to pick between a meat, fish, cheese or burger platter, plus one small plate and a cocktail, for £20. If you’re feeling thirsty you can add half a bottle of house wine onto the deal as well for an extra fiver.

It’s the second time manager Glenn Tarry has organised such an event and says there are only about 20 places left for Friday.

The Bear and Lace’s main bar area downstairs will be open as usual with Joe Strange performing from 9pm and 2-4-1 cocktail offers all night.
