Your Butlers will...

This, of course, is merely the official line and only partly true. As we all know, one of the best things about getting married is the bachelorette party that precedes the big day. It is your chance to get together with your best pals and spend time doing what you enjoy, whether that’s relaxing at a spa, zorbing or a spot of glamping. It might even be all three; but more often than not, there is drinking involved.

And what better way to mark (one of) the best things about getting married, than with a cocktail (or three)? Here are our current faves.

Cucumber and Lime Gin Fizz

gin fizz cocktails for bachelorette, girls night, party ideas

2 slices peeled cucumber (plus 1 slice unpeeled for garnish)

6 fresh mint leaves

2 sprigs fresh cilantro

The butlers are waiting to serve you!

2 teaspoons turbinado sugar

1 shot lime juice

2 shots Hendrick’s gin (cucumber infused)

3 shots club soda

Place the peeled cucumber slices, mint, coriander and sugar in a shaker and gently shake. Add the gin, lime juice, a large scoop of ice and shake vigorously for 2 minutes. Fill a chilled glass with ice and strain over the ice. Top with club soda and a cucumber slice for a classic with a twist.

 Death by Chocolate Martini

cocktail party, bachelorette party ideas, martini recipe

2 shots chocolate liqueur (plus more for the rim)

1 shot vodka

½ shot whole milk

½ shot cream

Cocoa powder

Pour some chocolate liqueur onto a small plate and a tablespoonful of cocoa powder onto another. Dip the rim of a chilled martini glass first into the liqueur and then into the cocoa. Then pour the chocolate liqueur, vodka, milk and cream into a shaker filled with ice and shake for at least 20 seconds. Pour into the glass and serve – a truly indulgent choice.

The butlers are waiting to serve you!

Grand champagne cocktail

grand marnier cocktails, bachelorette party ideas

1 shot Grand Marnier

1 teaspoon honey

1 fresh strawberry (top trimmed)

½ glass champagne

Blend the Grand Marnier, honey and strawberries in a food processor until smooth. Fill four chilled champagne flutes halfway with the mixture and top up with Champagne. Pink AND bubbly – it doesn’t get much better than that.

There’s no denying that drinking cocktails with the girls is great fun. But add a Butler in the Buff to make those cocktails for you and you’ve struck the jackpot!
