Chocolate hens party, birthday party, girls night in………….
Basically this theme suits every type of party you can think of.
I don’t know about you, but like most girls I LOVE chocolate…. When is comes to chocolate, I think I could easily become a Max Brenner addict (have been there twice this week).
If you are like me and can’t get enough, April is the perfect time to have a Chocolate themed hens party, with so many options for catering, activites and games to play, not to mention a chocolate butler!!!
Some states offer chocolate making classes as a Hens party activity. What better way to spend the day; making delicious chocolate truffles that you get to indulging in at the end of the class…a chocolate lovers dream!
A lot of the large hotel chain offer an High Tea as an option for a Hens Party, even offering a Chocolate High Tea. I know I once attended one at the Marriott in Surfers Paradise, QLD for a friends Hens Party and it was to die for, almost all food options associated with Chocolate in some way.
Every chocolate lover would be delighted with a hens night that is catered with chocolate theme items, don’t forget the chocolate penis as a novelty.
If you think that this might be to unhealthy please see some “research” I have done to back up this AMAZING theme?
Chocolate is made from Theobroma Cacao trees seeds, studies have shown Dark chocolate has many health benefits with its high cocoa content:-
Contains fiber and lots of minerals
High in antioxidants and disease-fighting flavonoids. Some studies have shown that it is higher in antioxidants then Blueberries and Acai berries.
Releases calming endorphins that lower anxiety
High in magnesium
Improves your moods
Helps reduce water retentions
Helps reduce cholesterol
Mildly improves blood flow
Improves blood pressure
Reduce preeclampsia in pregnancy
Compounds in dark chocolate act as UV filters

Dark Chocolate may help with brain function- one study has show
that 5 days of consummating cocoa, it improves blood flow to the brain.
There is nothing to suggest the it causes skin blemishes.
The darker the chocolate the better it is for you.
These studies are for Dark Chocolate high in Cocoa content- more the 70% or higher (so not all types of chocolate). Chocolate is still high in calories, so consume in moderation. YEP I made this small for a reason!!
